| This basket is embellished with Kumi Himo, which is a Japanese form of braiding. The braid coil was worked alternately with the pine coil. | |

| This basket is made with a shorter pine needle and the coils are 12 needles thick. This was done for stability. The wooden center was made by my brother in law on his scroll saw. The basket is just as lovely without the pie plate. | |
