Materials:
1 shuttle and ball thread
Size 20 thread
Beads: Glass round or faceted or textured (your choice) 4-6 mm, Pearl bead 4 mm, Dagger or drop bead

Wind up shuttle fully and do not cut thread from ball.  Be sure that the joining picots are long enough to carry the chosen beads.

  1. R.  4 - 4 - 4 --- 4. Close ring and reverse work.

  2. Ch.  3 - 3 --- 2 + 3 - 3.  The second picot is long and carries the drop or dagger bead over it and is joined 2 ds after the picot is made.  This is also known as a double picot.  Reverse work.

  3. R. 4 + (place the glass round over last picot of previous ring and join) 4 – 4 --- 4.  Close ring and reverse work.

  4. Ch. 3 - 4 - 4 - 3.  Reverse work.

  5. R. 4 + (place the pearl over last picot of previous ring and join) 4 - 4 -- 4.  Close ring and reverse work.

  6. Repeat lines 2 through 5 until you have the desired length.
