To make the cord: Thread two strands of thread 14 inches in length, knot the end of the length. Needle tat the first half of the ds only repeatedly. This will cause the stitch to naturally twist. Continue with the first half of the stitch until the 14 inch cord is covered. Knot the end and thread through the rings of the last row of body.
You can line the bag if desired.
